How this whole thing started
I grew up in Harbor City with a dad who could fix anything and a mom who expected the washer to keep running through four kids’ worth of laundry. I learned wrenches and voltmeters in our garage, apprenticed under a Sub-Zero tech out of Long Beach in my twenties, and hung my own shingle on Carson Street when I turned thirty-four. That was a long time ago.
What I actually do
Most weeks it’s about a 60/40 mix of refrigerators and laundry, with a steady hum of Wolf and Viking range calls on top. I do most of the work myself. My son Owen is on the second van now — he got his factory training in 2022 and holds the same standards I do. Between us, we do about 18 service calls a week, and that’s on purpose: any bigger and the work stops being personal, which is the whole point of calling an owner-operator instead of a chain.
What you can expect
- A real person answers the phone — usually me, sometimes my wife Terri
- A two-hour service window, not a four-hour one
- A printed, itemized invoice before any work is done
- One-year warranty on everything I install, no fine print
Call the shop at (310) 220-4347. If I don’t pick up I’m under somebody’s fridge — leave a message and I’ll call back between calls.
