Brands We Service

From the luxury names built into South Bay kitchens to the everyday workhorses in the laundry room, Bob's serviced them all.

Every brand listed here has its own dedicated service page — click through for model coverage, common failure modes, and parts-channel detail. Most repairs close inside a week; many are same-day when we have the part on the van.

Luxury & professional built-in specialists

Bob is factory-trained on Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Viking, Miele, GE Monogram, Dacor, Gaggenau, and Fisher & Paykel — the brands that end up in most South Bay custom kitchens. We stock common parts and have direct OEM distributor accounts for the rest, so built-in repairs usually don’t turn into two-week affairs.

Everyday workhorses

We also work on the appliances most South Bay households actually run day-to-day: Whirlpool, GE, LG, Samsung, Frigidaire, Maytag, Kenmore, Amana, Electrolux and Jenn-Air. Most parts are on the van, and we can typically diagnose on the first visit regardless of brand. If you own something not listed, call anyway — if we don’t service the line we’ll say so, and if we do we’ll get you scheduled.

01

Bosch Appliance Repair in Torrance & the South Bay

Bosch is probably the most overrepresented appliance brand in the South Bay — especially the dishwashers. The 500 and 800 series have been specified into so many tract-home remodels and PV custom builds that there’s a Bosch in almost every other kitchen we walk into.

What we repair on Bosch

  • Dishwashers (SHP, SHX, SHV, SHE-series) — E09 (flow sensor), E24 (drainage), E15 (leak pan activation), PureDry fan failures, rack-glide replacement
  • Wall ovens (HBL, HBN, HBE) — bake element failures, control board lockouts, hinge replacement, touch-panel diagnostics
  • Induction cooktops (NIT, NET) — fault codes F4/F7, generator board replacement, element coil replacement
  • Counter-depth refrigerators (B-series) — evaporator fan, dispenser valve, ice-maker assembly
  • Free-standing ranges & slide-ins (HGI, HDI) — igniter, safety valve, control board

Why Bosch dishwashers call us more often than any other brand

The E15 fault — “leak detected, pump running” — is the single most common repair request we get, period. Most of the time it’s a micro-drip from the dispenser or the inlet valve, not an actual flood. We diagnose on the first visit and replace the specific failed part; we don’t sell you a whole new pump assembly when the problem is a $20 solenoid.

02

Dacor Appliance Repair in Torrance & the South Bay

Dacor was a California company before Samsung bought them, and that heritage shows up in the homes we walk into: a lot of Hollywood Riviera and Palos Verdes custom kitchens from the 1990s and 2000s are full-Dacor. The machines hold up well — but when one finally does something strange, it pays to have a tech who has the service manuals and actually knows the platform history.

What we repair on Dacor

  • Discovery & Modernist ranges — igniters, spark modules, gas valve regulators, oven bake/broil elements
  • Heritage wall ovens — control board replacements, hinge and door alignment, thermal overloads
  • Distinctive dual-fuel ranges (ER30, ER36, ER48) — convection fan bearings, oven thermostats
  • Gas cooktops (DTCT, DYCT) — burner cap replacement, spark ignition modules, flame failure diagnostics
  • Beverage centers & wine reserves — compressor start components, evap fans, dual-zone temperature boards

The Samsung transition

Post-2017 Dacor platforms (Modernist, Contemporary) share electronic DNA with Samsung’s luxury line, so the fault codes and board-replacement procedures look very different from the pre-2017 machines. We’ve trained on both generations — know which platform you’re holding before you order a part.

03

Fisher & Paykel Repair in Torrance & the South Bay

Fisher & Paykel — “F&P” to most of our customers — is one of those brands where calling the factory service line usually means a 10-day wait and a $195 trip charge. We’re independently factory-trained and carry the common DishDrawer parts, so a local call usually means a same-week repair at normal rates.

What we repair on Fisher & Paykel

  • DishDrawer (single and double — DD24, DD60) — most calls are drain-pump replacements, lid actuator motors, and rinse-aid dispenser failures
  • ActiveSmart refrigerators (RF, RS-series) — evaporator fans, electronic control modules, ice-maker assemblies
  • Induction cooktops (CI604, CI905) — fault codes E1-E4, power board replacement, element coil issues
  • Built-in column refrigerators (RS36) — compressor start relays, dispenser valves
  • Pro-style ranges (RDV, OR series) — gas valve assemblies, convection motors, igniters

What makes DishDrawer repair different

DishDrawer units are mechanically unlike any other dishwasher — the motor and pump sit underneath a sealed tub, and the rinse cycle runs through a motor-mounted rotor rather than a traditional wash arm. Most general appliance techs don’t have the tear-down training. We do — Bob spent a week at the F&P training center in Costa Mesa when the DD60 launched, and he’s been on the bench with them ever since.

04

Gaggenau Appliance Repair in Torrance & the South Bay

Gaggenau is the one built-in brand where the service question is often “can the repair even be done locally.” The BSH service network in the US is small, the parts supply chain runs through a single East Coast distributor, and most local shops won’t touch the line. We will.

What we repair on Gaggenau

  • Combi-steam ovens (BS, BOP) — steam generator replacement, water reservoir pumps, touch-panel calibration
  • 200 and 400 series wall ovens (BO, BS, BX) — convection fan assemblies, door hinge replacement, control-board programming
  • Vario cooktops (VI, VR, VF series — induction, gas, tepan) — induction generator boards, ventilation downdraft motors, element coil replacement
  • Built-in refrigeration columns (RC, RB, RY, RF) — dual-evaporator systems, inverter compressors, dispenser control boards
  • Dishwashers (DF, DI series) — drain pumps, rack telescoping rails, inlet valves

Why Gaggenau requires a longer repair window

Most Gaggenau parts ship from New Jersey through BSH — that’s a 5-7 business day turn even on a common part. We’ll diagnose and quote on the first visit, order the part, and schedule the repair the day it lands on the truck. Rushing a Gaggenau repair tends to mean wrong-parts-ordered, so we don’t.

05

GE Monogram Repair in Torrance & the South Bay

GE Monogram is the built-in line most likely to be in a South Bay home that went through a 2010s remodel. It sits between Sub-Zero/Wolf and the mainstream brands on price, and the builds tend to be more repair-friendly than their luxury competitors — which is good news when it’s time for service.

What we repair on Monogram

  • Built-in refrigeration (ZIC, ZIR, ZIS columns, ZISS side-by-side) — evaporator fans, dispenser control boards, ice-maker assemblies, drain-line heaters
  • 48-inch dual-fuel ranges (ZDP, ZGP) — griddle elements, convection motors, spark modules, safety valves
  • Advantium speed ovens (ZSA, ZSB) — magnetron, halogen light modules, door interlock switches
  • Wall ovens (ZET, ZEK) — bake and broil elements, control boards, hinge assemblies
  • Dishwashers (ZDT) — drain pumps, fill valves, wash-motor bearings

Why Monogram repairs don’t always need a full-unit pull

Unlike Sub-Zero, most Monogram built-in columns can be serviced from the front — we don’t need to cut counter or decable a slab to replace an evap fan. That alone saves the average customer 3-4 hours of labor time on a common repair.

06

KitchenAid Appliance Repair in Torrance & the South Bay

KitchenAid occupies the middle of the Whirlpool corporate lineup — above Whirlpool and Maytag, below Jenn-Air — and it shows up in more South Bay kitchens than any other single brand except maybe Bosch. The good news: the platforms are well-documented, parts are plentiful, and most repairs are one-visit jobs.

What we repair on KitchenAid

  • French-door refrigerators (KRFF, KRFC, KFFS-series) — evaporator fans, ice-maker assemblies, water inlet valves, control boards
  • Built-in 42- and 48-inch refrigerators (KBFN, KBSN) — compressor start relays, evap fans, dispenser boards
  • Wall ovens (KOSE, KODE, single and double) — bake and broil elements, control panels, hinge assemblies, door-latch solenoids
  • Dishwashers (KDPE, KDFE, KDTE) — drain pumps, wash-arm bearings, door springs, heating elements
  • Pro-style ranges (KFDC, KFGC) — igniters, convection motors, thermostats
  • Over-the-range microwaves (KMHS, KMHC) — magnetrons, capacitors, turntable motors

The most common KitchenAid call

It’s almost always a French-door ice maker. The Whirlpool-platform optic-eye ice makers on KRFF/KRFC refrigerators fail in a very specific pattern — the optic beam misaligns, the ice maker thinks the bin is full, and cycling stops. We stock the replacement assembly on the van; 35-minute repair.

07

Miele Repair in Torrance

Miele appliances are precision-engineered and, in our experience, genuinely last 20+ years with good service. The common repairs are drain pumps and door hinges on the dishwashers, door gaskets and bearing kits on the laundry pairs, and user-interface boards on the coffee machines.

What we service

  • Dishwashers (G-series) — circulation pumps, drain pumps, water-inlet valves, door hinges
  • Laundry (W1/T1) — door gaskets, drain pumps, motor carbon brushes, shock absorbers
  • Ovens — door hinges, thermal fuses, bake elements, temperature sensors
  • Coffee systems (CVA/CM series) — brew groups, flow meters, thermoblocks, seals

Sub-Zero Repair in Torrance

Sub-Zero refrigerators are beautifully engineered, expensive to replace, and — when something goes wrong — often misdiagnosed. We see the same three or four failures over and over: start-relay assemblies, evaporator fan motors, condenser fan motors, and drain-line ice plugs. All four can be corrected in a single visit.

What’s different about a Sub-Zero repair

  • Dual sealed systems on BI-series, 600-series, and 700-series — a failure on one side doesn’t necessarily mean the other is ill
  • Electronic control boards are integrated with the grille — a routine repair involves pulling the grille, not the entire unit
  • Condenser coils behind the grille need cleaning every 3–6 months; a dirty coil is the most common cause of “my Sub-Zero isn’t cooling”

Call for a factory-authorized diagnostic. On most models we can get parts next-day from the San Francisco regional distributor.

09

Thermador Repair in the South Bay

Thermador is a common choice in newer South Bay custom kitchens, particularly the Freedom Induction cooktops and the 36" Pro Grand ranges. Both are serviceable, but both have their own quirks.

Common Thermador issues

  • Freedom Induction — RF generator boards, user-interface board, thermal cutoffs
  • Pro Grand ranges — ExtraLow simmer control, griddle thermostat, convection fans
  • Wall ovens — thermal fuses, bake elements, door hinges, glass assemblies
  • Refrigeration columns — compressors, evaporator fans, defrost heaters

We carry Thermador’s factory-trained diagnostic tools and can pull error logs directly from the mainboard on most post-2015 models.

10

Viking Appliance Repair

Viking was one of the first pro-style ranges to make it into residential kitchens, and plenty of those original units are still out there in South Bay homes. We repair both the original Viking Range Corp. era units and the current Middleby-owned product.

Common Viking repairs

  • Range igniters & spark modules — especially on the VGIC/VGSC series
  • Oven temperature calibration — thermostats and sensor replacement
  • Sealed burner assemblies — on warped or cracked burner heads
  • Built-in refrigerator — evaporator fans, defrost heaters, control boards

Factory parts for the older Viking Range Corp. models are still available for most components — don’t let another shop tell you your 15-year-old range is unfixable without a second opinion.

11

Wolf Range & Oven Repair

Wolf appliances are built to outlast most kitchens they’re installed in, and they usually do. When something does go wrong it’s typically one of a short list: spark modules, burner igniters, gas safety valves, or oven control boards.

Common Wolf repairs we see

  • Burner clicking but not lighting — spark module, igniter electrode, or a wet spark box
  • Oven temperature off by 30°+ — temperature sensor or calibration
  • Control panel fault codes — main control board, display board, or wiring harness
  • Dual-fuel oven not heating — bake element, broil element, or relay on the control board

Wolf parts are rarely on the van, but available in 24–48 hours from the regional distributor.
